TRAX Blue Line – Stops, Schedule & Live Tracker

Blue Line overview

The TRAX Blue Line is UTA's longest light-rail route, running from Draper Town Center and South Jordan in the south through downtown Salt Lake City and continuing northwest to Salt Lake Central Station and then to the Salt Lake City International Airport. The line gives direct rail access to the airport from the southern suburbs without requiring a car or shuttle, making it one of the most-used TRAX corridors.

Service frequency varies by time of day — expect trains every 15 minutes during peak commute hours and less frequently during evenings and weekends. Check the live tracker for current headways.

Key stops

The Blue Line serves a wide range of destinations along its corridor. Notable stops include:

• Salt Lake City International Airport — northwest terminus, direct terminal access
• Salt Lake Central — major interchange with FrontRunner and bus hub
• Downtown SLC stops — including 200 South, Temple Square, City Center
• Murray Central — bus connections, park-and-ride
• Sandy Civic Center / Sandy Expo — southern Sandy destinations
• Draper Town Center — southern terminus (one branch)
• South Jordan — southern terminus (other branch), park-and-ride

Live tracking tips

On the TRAX live tracker, filter to the Blue Line to isolate Blue Line trains on the map. Because the Blue Line splits into two southern branches (one to Draper, one to South Jordan), check the train's destination label to confirm it's heading to your stop. Airport-bound trains are clearly marked. During large events at the Delta Center or Salt Lake City venues, extra trains may be added and delays at downtown stations are common — use the tracker to see real-time spacing between trains.
